Final Countown

Can you believe it? Today is Thursday and the closing ceremonies are on Sunday. That's only 3 days away. Then the Paralympics will take place from March 12-21.
Yesterday was labeled Wonderful Women's Wednesday after Canada ate a "full medal meal."
Here's the breakdown:
GOLD
Women's 2-Man Bobsleigh
Heather Moyse and Kaillie Humphries- East coast meets west coast to combine for a smooth and fast time. They are the first Canadians to reach the podium in bobsleigh.

SILVER
Women's 2-Man Bobsleigh
Shelly-Ann Brown and Helen Upperton- Very clean drive after a German spill on the track previous to their run. Added to the red on the podium.

Speed Skating - Women's Short Track 3000m Team Pursuit
Team originally won bronze, but after Korea got DQ for impeding a pass from China, they got the silver. Most of the team is also competing in the 1000m race upcoming.

BRONZE
Speed Skating- Women's Long Track 5000m
Clara Hughes- Her last Olympics event, now she has a total of 6 medals: 2 from cycling in the Summer Games and 4 from speed skating in the Winter Games. Many are calling her a Great Canadian Olympian if not the greatest. Regardless she has done Canada proud.

Why do I know so much about this? I pulled a calf-muscle in my right leg so I stayed home most of the day. But today is a brand new day. I'll be in Yaletown most of the day look forward to updates!
Sorry for not blogging as much
